Part One

I was on my way to see you,
Walking down that dark forest path,
It getting darker as I keep going,
And it also started to rain.

My hair and clothes getting soaked as it started pouring down,
Like a waterfall,
And I started to run,
Run to you.

I fell and stumbled in the mud along the way,
Getting scared as I hear other footsteps behind me,
Making me run faster,
Harder.

I see the opening up ahead,
Almost there,
Closer and closer,
Until I finally run straight through and into your arms.

Oh, how happy I am now,
To be in your arms,
Safe at last,
And hugging you tighter for more of the safty you posses.

Part Two

I hold you back tightly,
My eyes scanning the edge of the forest,
Unable to see anything because of the rain,
But still having a bad feeling.

I then take you inside,
Taking you over to the couch,
Letting you get dry by the blazing and dancing flames,
And I smile softly as I wrap my arms around you.

You smile back and lean your head on my shoulder,
Happy that you're here,
Safe,
With me.

I then kiss your cheek before going to get up,
But you then quickly grab my arm,
Letting me know not to go far and I smile back,
Letting you know that it'll be okay.

I then go to the hallway closet and get a blanket,
Going straight back to you,
And sit back down while covering the both of us,
And we then fall asleep after a while of watching the fire dance.
